Please tell me a little about you and your family
I moved to Fort Myers four years ago.  Prior to that I lived in New Hampshire.  I've been married to Steve for 37 years, and have two grown children named Matt and Annemarie I've been teaching English and Theatre since 1985.  I enjoy music, reading, exercise and travel.

Tell us something that we would be surprised to know about you:
You may be surprised to know that I like to play pickleball.

Describe how you feel God has called you to your particular career path:
I love literature, writing, and drama.  It is rewarding to share these things with young people.  Learning to read and communicate effectively helps us understand and share the greatest story ever--the salvation message of Jesus Christ.

What attracted you to SFCA?
As a member of McGregor Baptist Church, I have observed the commitment and intentionality of those involved in its missions.  SFCA is a school where people are committed to giving their utmost to make sure the true and accurate message of the Bible is put forth.  I sought the Lord to see if He would have me be a part of this mission, and I am so grateful that He called me to fulfill one of the teaching needs here at the school.

In what particular ways do you hope to shape the learning or spiritual experience of our students here at SFCA?
My hope is that I can reflect what God has done in my life and how He has blessed me.  I strive to walk alongside my students and usher them into a deeper understanding of who God is.  I hope to inspire them to build a deep relationship with Jesus Christ as their Savior and Personal Friend.

The SFCA mission statement: Southwest Florida Christian Academy, a ministry of McGregor Baptist Church, will partner with Christian parents to provide their children with a distinctively Biblical and academically excellent education that will equip students to be Godly leaders and to successfully engage the culture for Christ. How do you hope to accomplish this as a faculty/staff member?
I always remind my students to be confident in their speaking and writing, so that ultimately they will bold in sharing the Gospel message.  I am also honored by each opportunity to meet and work with parents, whether it is with the academic or spiritual growth of their children.

What is your biggest desire for each student that walks in to your classroom or office?
My desire for each student is that he or she places his or her full trust in Jesus Christ as Savior, and that he or she walks closely under God's leading for the rest of his or her earthly life.
