Position at SFCA: Fifth Grade Teacher
How long have you worked at SFCA or in education: this will be my 26th year being a teacher and 6th year at SFCA
Favorite thing about working with students: I love my students! I call them my kids. We grow together and really become a family. In 5th grade they are more independent and we have some incredible discussions about life. We share in each other’s burdens, joys, concerns. It’s beautiful! Plus it makes me feel young!!
Surprising fact about you that people may not know: I went skydiving when I turned 55! I am really pretty adventurous
Life Verse: you know every day God gives me another one! Love His word!
How did God bring you to SFCA: My husband was moving to a church in Cape Coral (pastor) and I had an interview at SFCA. The next day they hired me!!
Why Christian Education? I get to share the love of Jesus with these kids! They are searching for something! Jesus gives purpose in their life and it’s my prayer every year that if they remember anything during their year in 5th grade, it is that Jesus loves them and cares for them!!
Favorite thing on weekend-spending time with my best friend-my husband! We just celebrated 40 years!
