SFCA is blessed with amazing teachers & staff! Let’s get to know the 2022-2023 team!

Position at SFCA: HS Principal

How long have you worked at SFCA: 22 years

Favorite thing about working with students: I love watching students achieve greatness and overcome their fears. Watching them grow from freshmen to young men and women as they walk across stage and receive their diploma, knowing they have achieved success brings me to tears every year.  I love cheering them on from year to year and pushing them to be all that God created them to be.

Surprising fact about you that people may not know: I worked as a Social Service worker in a nursing home before beginning my teaching career.

Life verse: I do not have one verse but cherish Colossians 3:17, "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

How did God bring you to SFCA: My eldest child, Austin, attended SFCA while I was a teacher in the public school system. I picked him up from school one day and inquired about positions for the following year. It just so happened that the Head of School at the time had literally just left a message (unbeknownst to me) on my home telephone asking if I would be interested in a position that was recently vacated.  Two days later I was hired and the rest is history!

I work in Christian Education because: Being at SFCA is my calling. It is not a job, but my ministry. I love my HS students and desire that they passionately follow Christ. I want them to seek Him, trust in Him and know that Jesus will fulfill their every desire. It is my mission to lead them to the feet of Jesus. I want them to know they are loved beyond measure and dearly valued. They are not the future generation but are the present.

My favorite thing to do on the weekends is: Take walks on the beach, bike on Sanibel, curl up with a good book and spend time with my family.
