Bible Teacher | Podcaster
In 2008, Liz graduated from college and moved to the Northwest to help plant a church. But by 2010, home was calling her back to Texas. She began her career in education, teaching fifth-grade math and science before quickly stepping into roles as a Science Instructional Strategist and STEM Coach. During this season, she earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University in 2013.
Soon after, Liz joined the administrative team at Grand Prairie High School. On the outside, she was building a successful career, but internally, she found herself with a full ego and an empty heart. She began asking the Lord a deeper question: What do You want for my life?
Five years into her career in education, the Lord led Liz to pursue another calling—this time at Dallas Theological Seminary. In 2017, she graduated with a Master of Arts in Christian Education.
Since then, Liz has served on staff at churches across the country and has had the privilege of teaching and speaking at women’s events around the world. Her love for Scripture, storytelling, and authentic conversation has also opened doors in media and ministry. She is a co-host of the Honestly, Though podcast and serves as a writer and part of the set team for the television series The Chosen.
Today, Liz is continuing her journey in education as she works toward her doctorate in Educational Leadership, while also helping create meaningful events and using every opportunity to encourage those around her through God’s Word, genuine connection, and, of course, a good story.
