Our Private High School Engages Students Academically and Spiritually
As a parent, you want your child to walk in God’s will and to fulfill their greatest potential. At our private Christian school, high school students are instructed by professionally qualified and spiritually equipped staff who are called of God to serve and lead here. Instruction is intentional and the balanced educational experience enables students to develop mentally, spiritually, physically, and socially.
In the high school at SFCA, our commitment to Kingdom Education is critical. We partner with parents in providing an education that cultivates an atmosphere where students, teachers, and parents embrace spiritual growth and academic excellence as a primary focus. It is through this pursuit of excellence that students reach their full potential and will be able to successfully engage the culture for Christ.
SFCA provides a rigorous college preparatory program based upon each student’s individual needs. High school course offerings include honors courses, dual enrollment, and Advanced Placement. A variety of electives are offered in the practical and performing arts. Athletic opportunities include volleyball, soccer, football, cheerleading, golf, basketball, wrestling, cross country, baseball, softball and tennis.
High school students are given opportunities to positively engage the world for Christ. Through daily Bible classes, weekly chapels, spiritual emphasis retreats, and community service activities, students are encouraged to boldly exercise the substance of their faith. The Student Leadership Academy provides various leadership training opportunities that assist students in the development of public speaking and debate skills, the research of culturally pertinent topics, the articulation of one’s worldview, an attitude of service, and the utilization of their spiritual gifts within the structure of a local church, their community and their nation.
At SFCA, it is our purpose to impart wisdom and knowledge through a framework of a biblical worldview. It is our desire to have graduates that expand their mission field into our world and seek God’s will in the major choices and decisions of life. Letter from the High School Principal
I would like to personally welcome you to Southwest Florida Christian Academy’s High School which offers its students a biblically based and rigorous academic program centered upon the Truths of the Scriptures. SFCA high school students are challenged with the goals of developing college preparatory skills, as well as fundamental life skills. In the high school at SFCA, our commitment to Kingdom Education is evident as we encourage our students to do everything “as unto the Lord.” Students are given the opportunity to develop relationships with fellow classmates, teachers, coaches, and administrators. An atmosphere is cultivated where students interact socially and academically in an environment that is conducive to learning.
A biblical worldview is integrated to enhance and reinforce the mastery of core knowledge. Students are instructed by professionally qualified and spiritually equipped staff, called of God to leadership in a Christian school. Instruction is intentional and the balanced educational experience enables students to develop mentally, spiritually, physically, and socially. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves academically and to develop strong study and time management skills. Special programs are offered in the areas of technology, athletics, fine and performing arts, as well as through the Student Leadership Academy (SLA). Honors, Advanced Placement, and dual enrollment options are available to provide students with opportunities to achieve higher level learning.
It is our prayer that our high school students graduate from SFCA with a strong work ethic, coupled with an eternal perspective, which will equip them to succeed intellectually as they prepare for their college experience. Above all else, it is our goal that our students desire to demonstrate the love and attitude of Jesus Christ.
Raising youth in today’s culture is a daunting challenge. As Principal, it is my privilege to partner with parents in preparing our young men and women to boldly exercise the substance of their faith and be impactful in their colleges and in the careers, God has planned for them.
