High School Program

Welcome to Southwest Florida Christian Academy’s High School where students are provided a distinctively biblical and academically excellent education based upon the truth of the Scriptures, demonstrated through an awareness of God’s creation. High school students are instructed by professionally qualified and spiritually equipped staff, called of God to leadership in a Christian school.  Instruction is intentional and the balanced educational experience enables students to develop mentally, spiritually, physically, and socially.

In the high school at SFCA, our commitment to Kingdom Education is critical.  We partner with parents in providing an education that cultivates an atmosphere where students, teachers, and parents embrace spiritual growth and academic excellence as a primary focus.   It is through this pursuit of excellence that students reach their full potential and will be able to successfully engage the culture for Christ.

SFCA provides a rigorous college preparatory program based upon each student’s individual needs.  High school course offerings include honors courses, dual enrollment, and Advanced Placement.  A variety of electives are offered in the practical and performing arts.  Athletic opportunities include volleyball, soccer, football, cheerleading, golf, basketball, wrestling, cross country, baseball, softball and tennis.

High school students are given opportunities to positively engage the world for Christ.  Through daily Bible classes, weekly chapels, spiritual emphasis retreats, and community service activities, students are encouraged to boldly exercise the substance of their faith.  The Student Leadership Academy provides various leadership training opportunities that assist students in the development of public speaking and debate skills, the research of culturally pertinent topics, the articulation of one’s worldview, an attitude of service, and the utilization of their spiritual gifts within the structure of a local church, their community and their nation.

At SFCA, it is our purpose to impart wisdom and knowledge through a framework of a biblical worldview.  It is our desire to have graduates that expand their mission field into our world and seek God’s will in the major choices and decisions of life. It is an honor to partner with parents in this endeavor!

Welcome from the Secondary Principal

Welcome! I hope you will find in this site some highlights that make Southwest Florida Christian Academy an amazing place to learn about what we call “Kingdom education” and to grow closer in our relationship to God and with each other. Our high school students are being challenged not only academically, athletically, in fine and performing arts and technology, but they are also equipped to navigate through issues facing them now and in the future with a Bible-centric view. We are developing students to be lifelong learners with a variety of pathways that we have created to meet the needs of our ever-changing career landscape.

In addition to preparing students for traditional four-year college, we will be offering senior students an opportunity to practice hands-on learning through a mentorship path that allows students to use their God-given talents with opportunities to serve alongside experienced leaders in the areas of big and small business, entrepreneurship, a variety of medical and tech options, e-commerce, and more while completing their coursework toward graduation. Another path may appeal to students who decide a two-year technical degree, a military, paralegal, paramedical, or civil service career is more in line with their calling. Our goal is to prepare high school students with informed and practiced choices that will ultimately give them lifelong skills intertwined with a biblical perspective before graduation.

SFCA offers a unique program called Student Leadership Academy (SLA) for our students that culminates with a second diploma. Students accumulate hours through active learning labs before school with dynamic activities that equip them to become effective servant leaders who will impact their culture for Christ. There are also a variety of AP courses that foster academic rigor from teachers with whom they develop lasting bonds by working together in a thriving learning community.

We are available to meet the needs of our high school students as they transition and change during these crucial decision-making years of high school. We are ready to stand with parents to raise a generation of “difference-makers” as they prepare for the calling that God has placed on them.
