Student Leadership Academy

Purpose

Student Leadership Academy has been established at SFCA for the purpose of identifying and training the next generation of leaders to positively impact their community, school, church and culture for Christ.

Mission

Student Leadership Academy is a four-year, diploma bearing program that partners with parents in helping students develop the following skills:

  1. The ability to identify their strengths, areas of giftedness and weaknesses
  2. Establish and implement personal and vocational goals
  3. Exercise motivation and desire to make a difference in society
  4. Participate in community life and effect positive social change through their personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  5. To be a positive role model to their peers
  6. Exercise civic and national responsibility

Program

SFCA Student Leadership Academy consists of four components:

  1. SLU 100 – 30 hours of classroom training Options: SLU Orlando (January), Internship, Mission Trip, Leadership Position, Leadership Article/ Book Critiques
  2. SLU 200 – 30 hours of classroom training Options: SLU Washington D.C. (Summer), Internship, Mission Trip, Leadership Position, Leadership Article/ Book Critiques
  3. SLU 300 – 30 hours of classroom training Options: Internship, Mission Trip, Leadership Position, Leadership Article/ Book Critiques
  4. SLU 400 – 30 hours of classroom training Options: Internship, Mission Trip, Leadership Position, Leadership Article/ Book Critiques
